IndexNow for OpenCart
The module has been tested on OpenCart 3.x. Operation on other versions is not guaranteed.
Sales and technical support of the module for online stores are not provided in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
The module code is unencrypted, without ionCube or obfuscation. You can freely view and modify the code.
The IndexNow module adds a tool to OpenCart 3 and ocStore 3 for automatically submitting website page URLs to search engines that support the IndexNow protocol.
The module helps notify search engines more quickly when products, categories, manufacturers, and information pages are created, edited, or deleted.
Supported Search Engines
The IndexNow protocol is supported by Microsoft Bing, Yandex, Naver, Seznam.cz, Yep, and other participating search engines. Submitted URLs may be automatically shared between search engines participating in the IndexNow protocol.
Please note: Google is currently not a participant in the IndexNow protocol. To notify Google about website changes, it is recommended to additionally use Google Search Console and an XML sitemap.
Recommendations Before Use
Before enabling automatic URL submission and configuring Cron jobs, it is recommended to consult an SEO specialist. The submission frequency, page types, and URL generation rules should correspond to the website structure and the selected indexing strategy.
IndexNow only notifies search engines that a page has been created, updated, or deleted. Submitting a URL does not guarantee that it will be crawled, indexed, or ranked higher in search results. Each search engine makes its own decision regarding indexing.
